We received our first post-solar system install bill a couple of weeks back and received a most pleasant surprise ~ not only was there a zero account balance but a healthy credit to boot! There’s no doubt our decision to go solar (with battery) was a good one!
During this period, our 25 year-old inefficient ducted a/c worked plenty of overtime and if my rough calcs are correct, without the rooftop solar, our quarterly bill would have been pretty close to $1000.
So despite Dodo’s miserable feed-in tariff rate of 3.5 cents/kWh, payback has started with a decent bang!
